Note that students will be in their "Bear" teams throughout the Get Set for BioTECH program. However, on the day of the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden field expedition, students will be regrouped into their Fairchild Groups.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up
Parents should plan on dropping their student off by 9:15 am every morning. There will be heavy traffic down 102 Ave, therefore, plan accordingly. The drop off/pick up loop can be accessed by heading NORTH on 102 Ave and stopping on either the east or west side bus lanes. Please adhere to the traffic pattern to ensure a timely drop off/pick up for all students. Parents must refrain from making U-turns on 102 Ave. Both entrances to the Richmond Campus (on 102 Ave) will be open to BioTECH students.

Students may opt to bring their own lunch throughout the week. However, there might be a variety of food vendors on campus that week, therefore, students might consider bringing cash to purchase lunch items from the courtyard. There will be NO cafeteria service throughout the week. Students are encouraged to bring their own lunches to both Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden and Zoo Miami as the food service staffs at each location will not be able to service all students simultaneously.

Students should wear clothing in accordance with M-DCPS policy and the school's dress code. Please be reminded that students may partake in team building exercises that may require mild physical activity. It is suggested that you wear comfortable, yet appropriate attire. Students should wear tennis shoes and bring water bottles and sunscreen on both field expeditions to Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden and Zoo Miami.

Field Expeditions
Students will take part in two field expeditions during Get Set for BioTECH. On Thursday, August 3, 2017, students will report to Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. On Friday, August 4, 2017, students will report to Zoo Miami directly. These field expeditions are strictly for BioTECH students and faculty. Parents are expected to drop-off and pick-up their child from each respective location. For more information, please click on the Field Expeditions link.
